This is a charming french style bistro. Wife and I had the very good value, very tasty specials menu available to order before 7 pm, 2 courses £9.95. The main menu also looked very tempting, lots of seafood. I didn’t check the wine list. Very friendly and efficient staff, and a subtle décor that suited the atmosphere well. Clearly popular, since it was almost full by 8. Would certainly return.
Only reason it’s not 5 stars is I always get irked by places that decide what the % optional tip is to add to the bill. I think customers should decide, rather than have it decided for them.

gerrymoran dont know what the others are like but it was great french style food for a reasonable price. Me and the wife had a meal out — 3 courses, 2x G&T’s, Bread & bottle of wine for £42 per head.

when I went here it was mainly because we had parked close and only had an hour on the metre and there were lines for my preferred café. Also i was talking my mother in law to lunch. If i had more time i would have ordered different but we had the soup that didnt come with bread unless you asked or maybe the waitress could have offered. A bowl of frites and a chicken and walnut salad. The soup was very nice but not hot enough. chips were not generous enough, the salad was well enjoyed. What we had was expensive but you can have a huge half chicken roast dinner for £10 and all the foods looked lovely. What we wanted was just a fancy sandwich for lunch but its more of a dinner place to me unless its late lunch /​early dinner. Because the food is heavy and should not be done in an hour, its more up market than it looks from outside but as for ambience, not really. There is nothing to look out to and they add there own optional tip, What is an optional tip? Do they have to remind us that they deserve a tip rather than actually deserving a tip.

Good authentic French bistro food, very rich. Not a great deal on the menu if you are looking for a light lunch on a hot day though, but perfect for a warming meal on a chilly London eve.

PC and I often meet up for Sunday lunch in Wimbledon Village. We’re not particularly imaginative and usually go to the pub for roast beef washed down with a couple of pints.
We plumped for Côte and started with rillettes (£4.85) and the warm roquefort salad (£5.35). The rillettes was nicely presented in a jar but I thought it should have tasted more ‘porky and ducky’. Another minor criticism was that there wasn’t enough sourdough toast to go with this pâté although the cornichons were very good. PC thought his salad was competent.
For mains, PC chose steak frites (£9.95) from the weekend specials and I went for the chargrilled ‘Les Landes’ chicken with frites (£10.95 incld £1 for garlic butter). Although the frites were good, PC took umbrage at the little bucket that the frites were served in I think the term to describe this begins with w and ends in –nky. The only bigger crime against potatoes is ‘thick-​cut chip jenga’.
The steak was decent and was served medium as requested. My chicken was a tad disappointing as it can often be when eating out — I guess I was taken in by all the guff about the free range chicken being from the ‘Les Landes’ region of France. Thankfully the garlic butter rescued this dish together with a side of French beans (£2.95).
We weren’t going to do desserts but ‘we took one for the blog’ and I’m glad we did. PC went for chocolate fondant (£4.95) and I chose the tarte fine aux pommes (£5.15). Both of these were served with vanilla ice cream and what ice cream ! PC spotted that the ice cream was probably own-​made as he could see ground vanilla pod (after a slow start, PC was getting into the blogging spirit).
Whilst it tasted good, like many a Masterchef contestants’ effort, the fondant collapsed. However, my tarte was excellent — it was the one dish that transported me to France with caramelised apple and flaky pastry incroyable !
The mainly French staff were efficient throughout and the damage came to around £70 for two including service and a fine bottle of La Garenne Syrah 2008, Vin De Pays D’Oc (£18.95). It was a bit pricier than our normal pub lunch but not overly expensive for Wimbledon Village. However you could get away with spending around £20/​head ordering the weekend special with house wine.

Cote is a French bistro in the heart of Wimbledon Village. There’s a really nice atmosphere to the place and it was pretty full when we arrived which gave it a great bustling ambiance.
I highly recommend their duck pâté starter which had a layer of duck fat on top. The dish reminded me of the food i ate in Cannes when i visited earlier this year so i really felt as though i was receiving the genuine French bistro experience. It came with toasted bread and crudités which was delicious.
There are a few yummy main courses to choose from but i would say try the iced summer berries covered in white chocolate sauce to finish off your meal because it is heavenly!
The prices are pretty good considering the location, the good service and enjoyable atmosphere. A three course meal minus drinks cost me about 20 quid. All in all a great dinning experience.

Yep absoloutely great, thought it has a posh air to the restuarant they have some great deals if you go before 8 such as 2 courses for ten pounds, and i had a lovely soup then chicken in a mushroom sauce, but you could also get steak and many other options! Its a really nice restauraunt aswell i think it is something about the lighting and the comfy chairs, always quite full so i would book if you’re going a bit later and it is french so that is why it is called cote.

New restaurant that got recommended to me by a friend. I believe its by the same people who started Strada, and you can see certain slight similiarities in the décor.
Went there for a birthday meal and it was very good. Its a French restaurant with good choice of French food. The wine list was very extensive and covered all price ranges. The food prices were good as well very reasonable.
You get their free filtered water on your table which is a nice touch these days. The food was excellent and for a Tuesday evening it was full. I would recommend booking if going.
I would definately go again.
