Costcutter in Mill Hill is a reasonably large store with a magazine selection that sells french bread in the back.
You can also buy some cold deli items in here in the refrigerator like hummus and cold salads.
This shop only sells long life cream but I will say in their favour the french bread at the back is always fresh.
You can’t top up your Oyster here but there is a decent selection of overpriced wine.
Come here for the bread and have a look in the freezer case. They sometimes have unusual things like fake chicken Tivali nuggets or Linda Mccartney sausages. Oh, yeah and oven chips.
