What more could be said about this place? It is a normal gathering spot for the London insurance market and basically a landmark. I’ve not met here for lunch yet, but meet several times a day for coffee and tea. The white chocolate macadamia nut cookies are delicious.

Trendy and packed and not enough bar staff to help all the patrons after work. 4 and 5 people deep to get drinks. Great little places close by that don’t require a wait of 25 minutes for a drink. Also, if they have the front door open, all the smoke wafts inside. Yuck!

Just went here for a birthday office lunch and it was good. If you get on the mailing list they often have some really great deals. Last week I spotted a deal for a free bottle of rosé with a lunch booking of 4 or more. Since my co-worker’s birthday was upon us it seemed like a great opportunity! The waitress was very sweet and the wine was good. We ordered a Niçoise Salad, Sausage and Mash, a Ploughman’s Lunch and the Tomato and Asparagus Bruchetta dish. I had the bruschetta and it was pretty good, the crustini was more like a croûton and I ended up just having to pick it up in the end but it was still good. A large lightly roasted tomato(chilled), 2 large perfectly cooked stalks of asparagus, lots of rocket and a touch of olive oil and balsamic. The menu considered it a «healthy choice» and it was still filling. We had brought in our own cupcakes for her birthday and the waitress didn’t seem to mind and even brought us some extra plates. The meal came to about £47 for 4 dishes, 2 coffees and a free bottle of wine. Not bad!
