Basically, this is the coolest charity shop in Hackney. The selection of kitschy kitchenware is notably amazing. It’s not all kitschy, but the majority of the mugs, saucers and cooking apparatus have that kind of appeal.
The best thing about it has to be the music, often reggae, that is pumped out from the back of the store. The good music element really sets it apart from the other charity stores in hackney.
I haven’t found much in the way of good clothes, but that is probably its only downfall. The lovely staff members take their time in the most endearing way, carefully wrapping everything that may have even the slightest potential to break.
In true charity store style, you can go in and grab a bagful of things for less than 5 pounds. I think that is what makes it one of my favourite pastimes.
