This used to be my local corner shop — oh how I miss it! Paresh, the owner, is a legend.
No matter what you go in and ask for, he’ll find it or pick it up at the cash and carry that afternoon. It’s always had a comprehensive organic section too including organic wine (remarkably hangover free after that stuff) and is open from approx 7:00am to 7:30pm daily.
Stock is piled up from the floor to ceiling to cram as many lines as possible in (take down a packet of plain flour and you’ll probably find self-​raising behind it so if the intuitive nature of shopping isn’t for you, just ask Paresh. Whatever it is, he’ll probably have it somewhere in this little Aladdin’s cave).
Newspapers, sandwiches, sweets, household goods. Best corner shop ever.
