History

Established in 1999.

Classy Canines was established 15 years ago and since then has gained such a great reputation that customers travel from miles away to get their pets groomed at Classy Canines. Customers who have become regulars at Classy Canines over the years are safe in the knowledge that the owner, Miryam shows the type of kindness and professionalism towards their pets that is hard to find nowadays. With many bad press releases about inexperienced groomers harming, and even causing the death of people’s pets while in their care, it’s no wonder pet owners get very anxious about which groomer to entrust their pets to. But with 30 years experience, Veterinary nurse skills, excellent understanding of pets and their emotions and needs, calm, kind animal handling experience, and a true love of animals, is it any wonder people choose Miryam and Classy Canines to take care of their pets grooming needs. Miryam has had a passion for animals from the day she could walk. Doing anything else that didn’t involve animals was not an option. So from 18 years of age, Miryam trained to become a dog groomer. For 30 years Miryam has groomed people’s pets, done voluntary work for animal charities in the rehoming side, took time out to train as a veterinary nurse and then embarked on opening a small friendly grooming salon. That’s how Classy Canines came to be. 15 years ago, after seeing how inexperienced groomers would mishandle dogs, and the lack of compassion some groomers showed their doggy customers, Miryam decided to open Classy Canines so that there was at least one place where pets could come that offered a safe, kind grooming experience. This is what has made Classy Canines so successful. Word spread rapidly and the success of Classy Canines is still as strong today as it was all those years ago. 15 years on and Miryam still puts the pets needs first.
