i disagree with most of the reviews of this place. The food is bland and oily. The setting is typical faux blingy indian that is very difficult to relax in. The staff are fine and the prices aren’t expensive — the main problem is, there are just so many better options out there. This place tastes like your average indian takeaway joint. if thats what your after then go for it. but if you want home cooked food that you won’t regret eating 5 minutes after finishing your meal, look elsewhere.

Really impressed with the food here, a contemporary Indian restaurant serving up some really great dishes. We popped in here late last night for a meal and tried a variety of dishes from classic dishes like onion bahji, through to mixed tandoori platters and fried okra. Everything was beautifully cooked, especially my lamb madras. Would be five stars but the food took over 20 minutes to arrive, even the starters.

Went there on a Tuesday, at 6pm very quiet only two other people in. Staff were upbeat and friendly and the food good. Very enjoyable all round experience, i would definitely go there again.

Went with a friend on a saturday afternoon for lunch. Was not busy but that was fine. Service was quick and friendly. The main came very quick the potions were hugh. I had a curry it was lovely, I don’t like very hot food with chilly so it was spicy but just right. Definitely would go again it is just 5 minutes from home. They also do takeaways my friend has had their takeaways a few times and it is just as good. would definitely recommend.

If you’re looking for amazing indian cuisine, forget about Brick Lane, come to Newington Green in Islington. Cinnamon Lounge has a wonderfully relaxing ambiance, great music, and friendly service. The prices are great and the food is to die for. If you’re a local, or a tourist, it’s worth the trek from central London. You won’t be disappointed!

This newly opened contemporary Indian Restaurant ticks all the boxes. You are warmly invited in by the smart friendly waiters., you immediately enter into a bustling, atmospheric, modern place. The décor is extremely contemporary, spacious and comfortable. Even on a busy Saturday night I did not feel hemmed in. The food is not your usual heavy Indian Fare, but a lighter fresher fusion type of food. An excellent combination of depth and spices without being overbearingly hot on the chilli. The food is served on modern white crockery, the waiter’s are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the dishes and ingredients. This new kid on the block is hot stuff!
