This is a surprisingly good chinese restaurant by London’s standards. The exterior of the restaurant isn’t the most inviting, but inside is very neat and seat comfortably. Some dishes are fairly authentic, but others are a bit hit-and-miss. Service is not great, as expected in most chinese restaurants, but it redeemed itself somewhat by being reasonably priced.

Let’s be honest. It is certainly the best Chinese food you can have in Stratford, including westfield’s lotus. But, that doesn’t automatically make this place good. The presentation was generally rubbish and the spicy dumpling was absolutely flavourless. I’d give it to them that the fried noodles were decent however the meat to noodle ratio was not good.

Plain chow main was delicious. The service was adequate I was surprised by the exquisite flavor at such a good price.

I went here for dim sum on a Sunday morning. The first floor was filled with Chinese people(usually a decent indicator of a good dim sum restaurant) and the second floor was about half full. There were only two of us so we couldn’t order very much, but we did have was fantastic. The Shanghai dumplings are awesome so definitely order them. The curried whelk was a little chewy, but very flavorful & a little spicy. The fried sesame shrimp roll with sweet & sour sauce was by far my favorite dish. The sticky rice in lotus leaves was savory & tasty. This place will be a good bet for reasonably priced & delicious dim sum.
