FINALLY a good flat white– Monmouth no less! Having worked on Kensington church st for over a month I was beginning to lose hope. Chains abound, all making burnt, rubbish coffee. Chegworth, you have made my day!

Loved this place –we rented a flat nearby for a week and went almost every day. Laid back service and amazing fresh produce, dairy, plus cool cereals, etc. Something different every day.

I just love this place– pop in there all the time at lunchtime(work near by). Can so far recommend: their cheeses, fresh salad leaves, bread and interesting hand made chutneys. Also, they have lovely(healthy-ish) freshly baked cakes, I recommend the apple and ginger one. Am really glad Chegworth chose to position their shop here, not much else interesting to eat in Notting Hill at lunch time.

Nice little farm shop in the middle of London, really just stumbled across it and was surprised to see so many fresh vegetables available. I could imagine this place being a great resources to people living nearby since the fresh smell coming from the place was what made me walk in.

I always thought that when I finally settled down to actually live somewhere that it would be in west London*. It’s chilled out, leafy green with actual trees, and full of quaint little cafes and stores. Like Chegworth Farm. Well it’s like I died and went to Organic Food Palooza! Step off bustling Notting Hill Gate right into this picturesque farmyard shop**. Wicker baskets of fruit and veg jostle for space alongside homemade preserves and muselis. It just bursts with jolly, healthy goodness! No big name brands here. Ever seen those speciality Chegworth Farm juices in ritzy health food shops? Well they have a whole wall of them here. And Chegworth’s own apple crumble and brownies. It’s so damn wholesome, you just FEEL like a better person for being in there. Till you check the prices and are rapidly brought back to the reality that you are not the yummy mummy of Darquinn and Chardonnay and to shop here would bankrupt you. But you might as well buy yourself a treat. The crumble perhaps. Drown it on double cream and eat it sitting on the floor of your kitchen, dreaming of the day you too will be swanning about SW1, pushing a three wheeled jogger and discussing your husband’s imminent vasectomy with the mums and babies coffee club. Err, or not! * Why not settle here now? Cos it’s so effin far away from everything that it costs almost 30 quid to get home in a cab. And Susie-Stay-At-Home I am not! ** Yeah if that farmer had made his money as an oil baron and said farmyard was on his own private island.

Oh, Yah! Farmers’ Fare. In Kensington. I found this all too standard. But then I used to work in Fresh & Wild back in the day, so maybe I would. That’s another big money retailer(no! we’re independent and proud! I hear the Chegworth farm advertisers shout back) which specialises in organic produce, and cherry tomatoes which are more expensive than Nike clothing. So that yummy Mums with expensive push chairs can perouse the aisles in a leisurely manner and know that their kid’s eating only goodness. Hey, I can’t knock the hustle. Organic food’s where it’s at. And there needs to be many more prominent retailers on our high streets. And this I suppose is the Kensington brand of that, so it’s going to be a bit poncey and over-priced. Which puts me off, but they do sell some really nice vegetables, lovely fruit and lots of organic and earthy produce(I’ve had that apple juice before and it’s amazing!). So if you just HAVE to feed your new born some pureed organic pumpkin with a poppy seed foam — THEN come along to the Chegworth Farm Shop on Kensington Church Road!
