Chambers Restaurant and Bar

We are guests at hotel and decided to stop in for an after dinner drink. Server took our order then never came back. We saw her bring another table that sat down after we did their drinks — even came and wiped down our table — but then never came back. We just left. Very disappointing for an otherwise great hotel.

Location — A little difficult to find. It’s in the Apex Hotel lobby which is tucked away off of Fleet Street on the Old Mitre
Service — It was pretty good. Nothing insanely memorable but not bad either. We’d definitely go back.
Food — for an appetiser, I had the crab cake with aioli which was very good and for the main I had the leek and blue cheese risotto. The risotto was definitely very tasty and very rich but just a tad too salty for me. Nice overall though. Wine by the glass was decently priced as well and if you book through top table you can get 50% off food. Not bad at all!
Ambience — I think the fact that it’s inside of the hotel makes it a little awkward if you’re not sitting in the main dining room. However, if you do sit in the dining room it has a very nice and pleasant atmosphere. It’s definitely finer dining, with white tablecloths and the complete dinner setting.
Overall I’d honestly rate this place between 3 – 4 stars but because it was pretty good and we had a nice time, I’ll be generous and say four!
