I’m probably not the best reviewer here, as I only spent about 90 minutes for dinner and a beer in this pub, but its atmosphere mid-afternoon is quite peaceful and the customer service warm and friendly. It is a pretty traditional pub. My mistake was to order the veggie burger when the waiter, who was first day on the job, was unable to really tell me what it was like. It wasn’t that great, but my comrades in arms all seemed happy with their grub, so there we go… picky old me! It’s definitely worth another try, and so maybe some day I’ll be back to give it another star more!

I’ve been here numerous times and is my favourite in the group of local pubs that I walk to. Be it drinks with the girls, post work drinks or with the boyff it works well. It’s divided into several areas and I normally go for the comfy leather sofa where you can sit back and chat away over a pinot! The drinks are +average priced, but that also means you don’t get the wetherspoon crowd in here. The food is good, and the nibbles menu when you don’t want to actually eat is perfect for a selection of on the table. The toilets are always clean and well maintained and I’ve yet to be stranded with the«no loo roll dilemma». Bar staff are friendly and can take a joke, but don’t invade your personal space. I like the fact that you don’t have to shout and lose your voice to have a conversation. Yup, definitely my favourite in Finchley Central.

Fantastic pub. Recently moved to the area with my girlfriend, and we found this little gem. The staff are very friendly — remembered us by name after the first visit and are very welcoming. The food and beer are great as well. Highly recommend this pub to anyone that comes into the Finchley area.

Friendly service and pleasant surroundings don’t quite make up for the sub-par selection when it comes to draught cider and draught beer.

I’ve been here a couple times just to meet up with friends before a real night out, but finally took the time to have that leisurely Sunday there. Someone mentioned earlier that it doesn’t have the same lively vibe as the Dignity. Even though it is only a minute walk from there, most people go there as the station is closer to it. But that’s exactly WHY I like CITR. It is RELAXED. It’s not loud and people aren’t bumping into you. Bliss! Perfect for our lazy board game action. Vegan goodies: They double checked the soup of the day for me and in the end made me a fabulous roasted veggie stack sandwich with chips and fresh chunky salsa. To drink I had a black coffee and a Warsteiner on tap. Non vegans: The OmniMonkey quenched his craving for fish and chips. There were a few pin bones to get through, but not many. He really loved how light and«beery» the batter was. Both of us were part of the Clean Plate Club for sure! Food prices are on par with other pubs. And I must say, every single person from the staff who spoke with us today(four total) were ridiculously nice and cheery!(You could even hear them quietly singing along with the music in the back.) I’m glad to see there are actual happy British servers who aren’t afraid to show it! Just gob-smacked at the service I received for making sure I meal could be made for me was above and beyond. THANKYOU!

Living down the road i frequent this pub occasionally. i have taken advantage of the free wi-fi, but also enjoy the friendly staff, good beer and quality food at a good price(i took advantage of the lunch menu). a nice clean traditional pub, great to dine and talk with friends in.

If you’re looking for a quiet place this is it, atmosphere is somewhat missing, but is the perfect venue for having a quiet drink and a chat. Food is ok, but slightly over priced but is quite comfortable.

Great pub. Wonderful room to sit down & chill out in. The most expensive nuts I have ever seen(£3.50 for Wasabi Peanuts!!! That’s more than they charge for the chips! I think the REGULAR peanuts are £2.50, which is STILL a lot, considering that many pubs have them for free). Still, an excellent room, though. Overall, a great experience. Just don’t order the nuts.

This is a great place to relax– but does not seem to have as lively an atmosphere as the Dignity just down the street. There is a nice mix of chairs and tables so you can find a nice corner to sit though. I have not eaten here so can’t comment on the food.

Well when it comes to pubs I always go for the lounger, leather sofas or comfy laid back seating. This place fits the bill. It also has comfy leather cube type chairs. You can get food here throughout the day and the menu is typical pub food but good. The outdoor seating area is large and spacious so when it is sunny this is one of those pubs to sit outside with your beer!

I agree with StuartW that the refurb was a bit worrying — but it’s actually much nicer now. Out with beer soaked carpets and in with wooden floors, comfy seats and lots of standing room. As well as the usual range of drinks they also have a range of shooters to try — maybe slightly out of place as this is definitely more pub than bar, but with so much competition nearby I can see why they want to have something different. Anyway, I like shots!

This place used to be a «normal» pub before it got the inevitable gastro refurb. I boycotted it for months as an irrational and utterly pointless protest. But it’s very nice really, all dark wood and armchairs, great food(albeit of the slightly pricey, «ale-battered» fish and chips variety), big roasts on Sundays, etc etc. I gather there’s a quiz on a Monday which I haven’t tried yet. If you fancy a roast on Sunday make sure you get down there early as it’s very popular.

This little place would be my local watering hole. There a some cosy little corners where you can have intimate catch ups with a friend, or else plenty of other comfy seats to drink and chat the night away. grab some olives or nuts to nibble with your drinks, or pick something more substantial off the menu — everything is good so you can’t go too far wrong.
