Camera Clinic Repair Services

Well… i hate to give a bad review when the person behind the counter was such a nice person. But at the end of the day… if you don’t know how to fix the problem with my camera… refund my money!
Its a simple problem with my lense, i see it is common with the make of camera I have. So the fix should be easy. But i’ve returned it twice, and still I walk out of the place, take 1 photo and the problem still exists.
I just gave up! I won’t be taking it back again… cause they won’t fix it and i’ll have to run around fetching and bring it there. I’ll laid it down to a dodgy experience and a waste of money.
The only thing that conserns me, is that when I picked it up the second time, they mentioned that I now have a problem with my screen. And that I should have it looked at. My question… did they drop it? I shouldn’t have a second problem when the first problem wasn’t fixed.
This camera is 6 months old! Bought in a different country so warrenty doesn’t apply here. ARG!
If you have an older camera… just buy a new one! Not worth the hassle!

Two things I want to make very very clear for people going there:
1) IT COSTS £20 TO GET YOUR CAMERA EXAMINED FOR A QUOTE ON THE REPAIR.
2) THEY COST HALF OF THEIR COMPETITOR.
My Leica C-​LUX 3 had dust creep into its lens housing because I kept it in my pocket without a case. I went to Seandean on St Anne’s court (
) to get it repaired, left it there for examination, and I got a quote of £130. This was a little dear for me, so I picked it up and then went to Camera Clinic
You have to ring a doorbell and go up the stairs in a building that could use some maintenance to get to the office. I handed over my camera, and noticed that posted in 3 places was a price sheet of costs to have your camera examined for just price quote on the repair, and that the fee was not refundable if you decided not to have them repair it. I went with it anyway and was glad I did: a day later I got a text on my mobile stating that the repair would cost £76, and with my £20 applied, I would only have to pay £56. I called the location and authorized the repair. A few days later I got another text to pick it up.
So for half the price I got my camera back in perfect working order.
