Camberwell Free Film Festival has all it takes to become one of the main film events on this side of London. This 2015 edition is gathering more public than expected, for a reason. The choice of films — projected onto medium-sized screens in Camberwell pubs and other places of interest — is eclectic and can satisfy anyone with a diverse taste in film and pretty much everyone else. Special mention this year for American gothic classic The Night Of The Hunter, projected at St Giles Church — stunning venue, perfectly fitted the movie. Plus: the festival organisers set up a bar that keeps going during the projections, and that is a great way to support their work. Otherwise, free donations are encouraged but absolutely no pressure, for this is an absolutely free event. Only recommendation: turn up in advance(even 30 to 40 minutes), because seats are limited and it gets pretty crowded.
