WHAT A GEM!!! Café Nawaz is incredible! The food is great, the staff are great, and one of the main highlights is that you can bring your own alcohol! The range and quality of the curries are impressive, I had a lamb tikka massala and my boyfriend had the gosth karai and they were both equally delicious. I adore peshwari naan and theirs is exactly what I love! Nothing more to say about Café Nawaz apart from I highly highly recommend the place, and if you’re going on a Friday or Saturday night, make sure to book with them. I love it!!!

This place is great. Great food at a good price and you can bring your own booze. We usually bring gin, limes, mint and lemonade and make our own cocktails at our table! staff are great and bring ice over to help make the drinks complete. Great spot

Good value for money. It’s not the best food you’ll ever have but its okay for the price.

Wow, surprisingly good Indian tucked away in a not so pretty street at the back of Guys Hospital. Late Friday night was a full house full house. We waited just a few minutes outside for a table and were seated. Really efficient staff and table turnover. The menu is interesting and has some Bangladeshi and Goan dishes. We tried the Goan chicken dish with pureed coriander leaves and tamarind(I go for anything featuring coriander) which was really good, sweet and tangy. A good garlicky daal to accompany and some fritters with potato and cashew. The service was just brilliant and so fast. They brought popadoms within seconds and took our order the instant we were ready and food came out quickly too. Friendly staff. BYOB Will be on my list of ‘go to’ Indian restaurants now.

Excellent takeaway place. They really know how to cook Indian food and the guys there are very polite and friendly. Recommended, if you’re into spicy, delicious food.

Exceptionally good curry place. Its bring your own booze and reasonably priced, and the curry is excellent. Poppadoms and the accompaniments were a good starter, then an onion bhaji which was moist and succulent, then duck jalfrezi. I haven’t had duck in a curry before and the flavour of the meat doesn’t come through as strongly as I thought it would, but curry is all about the sauce anyway. The sauce here was excellent, it had a serious kick but not so much that I had to take breaks between mouth-fulls, or so much that it dominated the other flavours, and it was not swimming in grease. This is quite close to my office so I will come again
