Very nice place. Even better if you get a window seat. Food is also very nice. One big problem the staff! The last 2 or 3 times I’ve gone there, I have found it difficult to make myself be understood. I’ve found it difficult sometimes to understand what the staff are saying, and there are one or two staff who are extremely off-hand with their service. No smile, no patience, abrupt manner and never looking at the customer. I will NOT be going back there, as I no longer enjoy sitting there, as half of the time I’m still fuming about the service. What a pity.

Easily my favourite sandwich place to come to when I am in my home area! Café Giardino is gorgeous! They have one of the largest ranges of fillings to choose from and you can have them inside a wrap, Panini or Ciabatta! I absolutely love the Giardino special which is a combination of chicken, bacon, mozzarella and spinach! I am almost drooling just thinking of it! They are freshly made in front of you and they taste amazing with so much flavour and juice! I must go here as soon as I am next home!

What a wonderful discovery! On the same day this week, two friends independently took me to this restaurant for a drink and snack. As I sat there and drank in the whole ambience and activity of the place, I realised it had much character and a living dynamism. Then I met the manager and realised the source of such an excellent restaurant. It had the vibrant atmosphere of aliveness without the hectic actiity that one encounters elesewhere. It was so good to see the staff discretely taking breaks at a table together even the manager himself. It had a family atmosphere for sure. Clients were of all ages and walks of life. A true tapestry of the town’s residents and a spattering of visitors like myself. Having visited restaurants internationally over the past 35 years, I sensed here was a genuine home from home with quality food and service. Pop in and see for yourself. Global Nomad.

Café Giardino is modern and spacious with plenty of room for pushchairs and wheelchairs in some areas. Their food is beautifully presented and the coffee is great. Although ‘skinny’ latte isn’t advertised you can get one. Straws are provided for children and those who find drinking difficult. The café was clean and tidy, and a relaxing place to sit and watch the world go by.

This café has a host of food variety. From lasagne to sandwiches, roast beef to chips, and all the desserts you can imagine, it’s got it. It’s located on the top floor of the Glades shopping centre and is very large with two entrances/exits. It’s often very busy but the staff are very professional, efficent and polite. I often have the lasagne. It’s a tad salty but other than that very good and filling. I do think it’s expensive for c.£8(with chips) because I class this place as a café, but it’s quite nicely done up so I guess it could pass as a resturant, thus the higher prices. If I fancy just a quick sandwich, I always opt for the chicken avocado. It is absolutely gorgeous and I thoroughly recommend it. It’s a nice place to chill out in after a shopping session, especially if you get to sit on the balcony overlooking the park.
