I have been coming here for a few years and during that time they have refurbished the place a couple of times. It looks simple and clean now with new pictures up of New York
It can get very busy here however on this occasion it was not. The staff are very friendly.
One downside is the price, this has gone up ALOT however the portions they give are large so I always leave very full, but saying that I don’t think I will go as much as I thought it was was value for money not so much now…

I think brooklyns is over rated, it’s an ok café charging extortionate prices for what it is.
I had the burger and chips the burger was thin, cheap, mostly onion and rusk and most definitely previously frozen.
Comparative to the plethora of euro café’s around where I live along Holloway Road, serving non distinctive but perfectly palatable food, however charging around 3 times the price of my locals. I guess they get away with it due to lack of competition. They attempt to make up for it by giving very large portions.
Apparently it used to be a lot cheaper but the price seems to hike up as much as they Re decorate the place which quite often.
My advice to them would be use better quality ingredients or lower the price.

Love it, my friends and I were regulars when we were students. The food is cheap, but there’s loads of choice and it’s always delicious. I ate a lot of different things from the menu, but was always satisfied.
Staff are very friendly too. The only downside is that getting a table can be difficult at times because it’s so popular.

I really like this café, i love the lamb kebab wrap with salad and chips, my kids love the oreo milkshake, service is very fast and friendly, they do great fry up’s, the portions are huge and it’s very good value for money.
