Bohemian Butterfly

A couple of different people told me about this shop which sells handmade jewellery using mostly silver and precious stones. As a jewellery designer myself, I was quite excited to go down and check it out.
I have to say, I was more than a little disappointed. Mostly because I think the pieces in here are grossly overpriced. It doesn’t have to be this expensive to buy similar, and more original pieces from other places that are using the exact same components. I don’t know, perhaps it’s the overheads.
While I appreciate the time that goes into making some of these items, there is nothing original, exceptional or reasonable about this jewellery either, the beauty lies in the gems themselves. If you look at on line creative marketplaces like Etsy, they seem light years ahead in terms of design and price.

You can find some beautiful pieces in here, for all those fancy occasions you want to dress up for. The staff try to be helpful, although they cannot help being a little snooty to the ‘average’ customer. If you are used to splashing out on extravagent and colourful jewelry, then this is the place for you.
