Centrally located in London, highly accessible as it’s less than 5 min walk from Oxford Circus station. Well stocked with most of the popular brands of outdoor apparel and equipment. What’s most important is the staff are highly experienced in outdoor activities and familiar with the brand and range of clothing from each segment. Their technical knowledge gives one great advice based on the customers’ needs and not try to sell you a product merely based on price points. Daniel, who works here, was very helpful and I ended up making a very happy purchase on several items which met my needs.

Not all Camping stores are the same, especially if they give you a lift to the store in a rickshaw, push a bottle of beer into your hand and give you an additional discount of their already discounted items. I bumped into the friendly rickshaw just down the road from my office, but found myself wishing he’d sauntered past my house. He gave me a lift to the store as they were celebrating their opening and the beginning of a week long sale last thursday. There will be another free drink night at the end of the extended sale section on thursday 8th July if you’d like a nice pair of waterproof brieks or a foamy underlay for festival season. The staff are new and eager to please without being pushy — and who can deny the range of a Blacks store? The Rickshaw might not be around for long, so if you see him, mind your p’s and q’s and give him a friendly smile!
