Bento Cafe

The food is usually spot on. Only ever had one minor issue with long waiting time once. The prices are reasonable. Make sure you try the sesame seed ice cream.

Fabulous little sushi place, I will be stopping by more often that’s for sure.
We arrived at 6:15 on a Saturday evening with no reservation and they managed to squeeze us in. We were still waiting 15 minutes later for our last member to join us, the waiter knew this and therefore didn’t take our order just yet, when she did arrive the waiter didn’t try to hurry us into ordering. The atmosphere was very relaxed considering how busy they were. When we did order, the food was delicious and well presented. The starters came out one at a time, we would have preferred a table full of platters but perhaps we should have specified that so we certainly weren’t grumbling. The waiter made sure our green tea was constantly topped up without asking. My only reason for not awarding 5 starts was that the vegan’s main course was placed on the same plate as the seafood main course. Perhaps during future visits we should stipulate such things.

I’m a big fan of sushi and prefer an itsu lunch over all others so was pretty impressed with this place. We sat next to the sushi bar and I loved the elegance of the plates and the descriptions in the menu.
I enjoyed the rice wine and thought that the whole thing was reasonably priced but the service made this place for me — they were so attentive and welcoming. I’d usually avoid a night out in Camden like the plague but I was won over by Bento Café and would visit here again!

Was apprehensive after reading the reviews… I was however pleasantly surprised.
We were 6 people having dinner and were seated immediately. The staff was friendly and authentic. We received our drinks promptly and ordered our food.
The menu is comprehensive with a good selection of fish and vegetarian dishes. They also have several set menus for couples.
The food tasted excellent and the potion sizes left nobody hungry with great value for money!
Could the service be better, probably yes however it give you time to absorb the décor…

Wonderful food — shared a bento box with my son and was superb. Child friendly and great service. I will be returning on a regular basis
