Given the other reviews I went with high hopes. The food looks great, the shop looks great and they seem like nice people. My issue was primarily with texture and depth of flavour. I had a chipotle chicken and sweet potato stew and it was very samey. Very mushy and frankly a little disappointing. It wasn’t terrible, but I wouldn’t bother having it again.

Excellent place for a healthy but also interesting lunch during work. They serve all kinds of different salad mixtures they have prepared from scratch and proteins that you can add as a «side» I like that it is different everyday and that they have so many different vegetable and fruit ingredients. It’s modern and friendly as they ask for your name which is a personal touch Reasonably priced with approx £6 for two salads and a protein which is great considering the freshness of the ingredients Think it needs to stand out more visually from the outside as it kind of blends in with all the other lunch places in old street and would of only found out by word of mouth

In the words of Savage Garden, I knew I loved you before I met you. I have become so frustrated by the lack of healthy/non-chain lunch spots around Shoreditch and desperately ask everyone I meet ‘Hey, do you know where I can get a great salad?’, usually to be met with a look of wistful confusion. But not today. Today we went to Bel Air. And I am in love. The salads are beautiful, full of colour and delicious ingredients. Everything is seasoned to perfection and the staff are super friendly. It’s not the cheapest place around, the salad boxes range from £3.50 to £5.50, and an added chicken breast or salmon fillet is £3.00. I had the smaller salad which was a REALLY generous size and the chicken(with added yoghurt dressing) and was really glad I did. YUM. I will be going back. Again and again and again. Try not to get in my way ;)

It’s not the cheapest lunch spot, but it’s one of the few spots in Shoreditch to offer a fantastic selection of fresh, healthy food… TO-GO! There’s a lovely salad bar, featuring 5 or 6 different salads, with at gluten-free and dairy-free options in the fold, as well as optional proteins to add(salmon, mackerel, chicken, etc). There are also a couple of hot dishes available, and a fridge full of fresh juices, coconut water and the like. Huge fan of Bel-Air!

Welcome to Bel-Air. Usually the phrases«fast food» and«healthy» don’t quite gel(see: Abokado, ew.), but I am here to report that at locally owned and operated Bel-Air, they do indeed. They are as cohesive as this tightly tuned little salad box I just enjoyed, as it turns out. Fast and healthy food? SIGNMEUP. Post spinning(Boom Cycle!) down the street, I was in need of some lunch. I was also feeling very proud of myself for not dying during spin class and also not heading straight for a burger. Of course this happened to be at peak lunch hour in the City and the que was snaking outside already. People like their fresh, flavorful, healthy food it turns out! I had a few minutes to spare so instead of rushing around like a chicken with my head cut off, I popped myself in the que and to my delight it moved rather quickly. I was ordered, paid and on my way with a large salad box(4 salads for 5.50!) within 5 minutes. Don’t be wary of the que, the shop inside is quite small so even if its a few people deep it’s likely to look jammed, and isn’t, really. I made a bit of a hasty choice but I don’t think you go wrong here. I had the 4 salads: chickpea, roasted cauliflower, brocolli/almond and roasted aubergine. A treat, I tell ya. I should’ve added on a protein! I saw that after. Would’ve been nice with chicken or salmon. They also have hot food options, chicken phở and a range of other nice breakfast items. I might come here every day now for breakfast because I’m 32 and still can’t make eggs. Such is life, at least Bel-Air can pick up the slack. Just say no to AbokadoPretEatApostropheItsuWasabi garbage food. Come to Bel-Air. You’ll thank me. And if not, fine then more for me! headline: healthy, fast food that’s locally owned.
