Beige Plus

In a fashion climate where more and plus size clothing is forced online, and major suppliers like Harrods are shutting their doors to plus size women i was overjoyed to discover a quality plus size retailer located in 3 venues across London. Hooray for Beige Plus.
The stores are very nicely laid out and there are several staff members on hand to help you select items if you are unsure of exactly what you want. There is a good selection of brands on offer from the big names like Anna Scholz and Marina Rinaldi to the more unusual like Yoek. The Finchley branch seems to be more work orientated whilst the Cavendish St branch offers more occasionware.
I was slightly daunted by the staff who were quite forceful in asking me to try on other options other than i had selected. I’m glad i was pushed because it gave me some different options from the obvious, but for someone who is generally quite shy i was intimidated slightly by the opinionated staff. But fashion is a dialogue i suppose, so whilst i would have appreciated a little more subtlety in what they liked and didn’t, i was appreciative of an outside eye and different ideas.
The missing fifth star in this review is due to the style of the clothes. I’m late twenties and whilst i was happy there was an extensive range of clothes on offer most of these were not aimed at my age bracket and I would have struggled to find clothes there that were suitable for going out as well as a work situation. Also for my salary if i hadn’t been very kindly treated on this occasion i would have struggled to buy more than one item. The accessories were a different case altogether and i found some amazing belts and necklaces that i’ve never seen anywhere else
SECRET TIP: Go during the sales. Their discounts are huge from the original prices and if you buy quite a few items they up the discount.
