Barker shoes are high quality English made shoes that have been around for over a century. I have several pairs, and for the most part I’ve been very happy with them. This store has taken some flak in the past for hiring people who didn’t know much about shoes… and that was probably true, but more recently the people in the shop have seemed more knowledgeable. The shoes certainly aren’t cheap, but the selection is normally pretty good, and if you go in December or June you can usually find a reasonable sale on the previous season’s models.

A big cheat. A scumbag running a crooked operation. I asked for a size 44 for my son. He made a disgusting gesture that his size is 10 my young son can’t be 44. He talked my son into a size 8.5 for an expensive shoe. The shoe fit but tight on the feet. We walked out of the shop for no more than few steps to a nearby launch at a restaurant. My son complained that his feet hurt. We took off the shoes and headed back to the store. The crook refused to return the shoe for refund nor to exchange for a bigger size. Reasoning that we have used the shoe from the bottom of the sole. What does he expect the shoe buyer to do with shoe? Walk in them or stuff them up his arse. He refused and treated us like dirt. On our insistence he offered to stretch the shoe in a magic machine in his back store. We came next day to pick the shoe. Nothing changed. It was a scam. We ended up with a shoe that does not fit and can’t be used. Money wasted down the drain. I strongly warn anyone to visit this cheat shop unless you want to waste your money on useless pair of shoes. Totally disgusting shopping experience at an unbecoming Regent Street store in an upscale shopping area. A disgrace to London’s world famous shopping Mecca image to have a low life store of that nature. The store is more fitting to be located in some dingy destination like Cairo ghettos sort of areas. Not London.

Thank God I live 6,000 miles away from this store because they have some great shoes and I’d probably spend too much money here. They’ve been around since the 1800’s and their knowledge of shoes is impeccable. There are loads of great designs here and I was pretty excited to walk in here when there was a sale on. The shoes are pricey so there is a bit of a commitment if you buy a pair from here. The only reason they didn’t get five stars is that the upsell on polish and other accessories was a little hard. Would highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for good shoes.
