I don’t know why the ratings are so bad. I was really pleased with the bagel I received from Bagel’s Inn today. I come from America in an area where our bagels tend to be much better than the Bagel Factory’s(it seems like they microwave bagels instead of toasting them!) This bagel shop reminded me of home, with low prices and incredibly friendly staff. The bagels were great, and toasted perfectly. I haven’t tried their sandwiches yet, but they look promising. And if you don’t have the time to wait for a sandwich to be made for you, they have premades too.

Bagels baked onsite. Open 24 hours. What’s not to like? This place just looks like any other caf. Curiously, its name outside is «Bagels’ Inn». The signage inside displays«Bagel’s Inn», and Unilocal calls it «Bagel Inn». Nice taking the grammatical middle ground there, Unilocal. The menu board covers the entire side wall inside and comes complete with handwritten prices on pieces of paper that cover the original printed ones. Mirrors line the other walls so you sit on barstools while watching yourself stuff your face full of bagel. The wooden stools are a bit wobbly. And everything is served on styrofoam plates. But the service was friendly and accommodating. When I walked in and began looking at the menu, the guy behind the counter said, «Don’t worry about that. I’ll make you anything you want». Not knowing what I wanted, I stayed with the menu options, because they were pretty damn expansive, but good to know, I guess. The pizza bagel I ordered was perfectly acceptable and inexpensive. Nothing special, though. Apparently, Bagel’s Inn is known for its Hot Salted Beef, if the two cartoonishly large-sized pictures of Hot Salted Beef Bagels on the back wall are any indicator of this. Did I mention this place is open 24 hours? I’d say that’s its main draw.

Good for late night snacks or really tight budget meals. The bagels are decent and they have some surprising choices. I had a bagel with goat cheese and tomato while my friend had one with pepperoni. They were edible and somewhat exotic considering what I had expected. Not the cleanest, and there were only two small tables inside next to the drink cooler, which was making quite a lot of noise. Don’t expect anything more than a cheap sandwich.

I agree with the previous post — not a lunch-time venue at all. But it is open 24 hours(except Sunday) and is convenient for a bite on the way home from a club and there isn’t a kebab shop in sight! I thought the range was limited due to the fact that I was only ever in there at 4am. But I have been in during the day and the selection is pretty much the same.

Just went in Bagel’s Inn for lunch today, expecting… well…a wide choice of bagels. No bagels in view(bagel sandwiches yes, but no loose bagels). When asked, the slightly harrassed assistant did fetch a bagel from the back of the store. Disappointing, more like bread than the chewy article I was expecting. Not worth the pit stop.
