History

Established in 1998.

1982 — Laurie begins his Articles of Clerkship with Kaye Tesler solicitors in Tottenham.

1985 — Laurie qualifies as a solicitor and is made a partner in Kaye Tesler.

1988 — Laurie becomes a Partner at The Luper Partnership.

1998 — Laurie opens Avadis & Co on Malden Road in Kentish Town.

2000 — Avadis & Co attain their 1000^th client & are a Legal Aid Franchise in Family Law.

2003 — Avadis & Co 2000^th client.

2005 — Avadis & Co are first awarded Lexcel accreditation.

2010 — Candice Rochford joins Avadis & Co.

2011 — Avadis & Co reach 3000^th client.

2012 — Avadis & Co begin their first free advice sessions for Queens Crescent Community Centre.

2013 — Avadis & Co move to their new offices at 7 – 9 Ferdinand Street NW1 & commence free advice sessions at Castlehaven Community Centre & Haverstock school.

2014 — Laurie nominated for Legal Aid Practitioners Group Family Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year.

2015 — Kiran Reyat admitted onto the solicitors roll to become a qualified solicitor.

Laurie has been a singer songwriter with the band «The Last Postman» and latterly «The Nightingale Experience» since the 80’s.

In 2012 he won an international poetry competition and he continues to write. He is a keen artist and a prizewinning photographer.

In sport he competes for an athletics club at 1500m, 5000m and cross country. He regularly takes part in 10k races.
