Athena Tuition specializes in providing top-​quality private tutors to families across the Greater London area, covering students from primary to undergraduate level education in maths, english, science, history, geography, economics, business, law and foreign languages– including Mandarin Chinese. We also provide experienced tutors to support students applying to private schools, the 11+ exams, Oxbridge applications and public speaking. Our approach is focused first on getting the student through the exam or course they need immediately, but secondarily and importantly to change that students perception of a subject and foster a genuine interest in it. We believe that education is most effective when the student is inspired by what they’re learning and enjoys the sessions. We also focus on building students confidence.

History

Established in 2013.

Founded in 2013, but building on the experience of its founders in tuition and business, Athena Tuition has built up a network of passionate and experienced tutors and is expanding its reach across London presently.

Meet the Business Owner

Wesley S.

Business Owner

Wesley graduated from Exeter University with BA in Economics and Politics, before travelling and living in China, teaching in a range of public schools in Suzhou, and privately teaching willing students. He has also worked with the technology firm BookingBug in London’s trendy new Tech City, client on-​boarding and helping build the BookingBug brand.

Previously Wesley also won a place as 1 of 100 students in the UK on the 2008 Prime Minister’s Global Fellowship travelling to India, sponsored by the British Council and the UK government, where he had a chance to spend time in the Indian school system.
