Utterly terrible service, very very rude waitress who told my dad to take off his hat because they had a no hat policy — we were standing in the doorway taking our coats off! the hat would’ve followed. After this trivial matter they then took ages to serve us drinks (which tasted awful and were so pricey for something average and small). The food was ok, strangely the waitress started being more polite when she saw us having a full three courses, several cocktails and a £24 bottle of wine (perhaps she thought she’d get a tip). The place was full of rowdy businessmen and tourists and the music was so loud I had to shout my order at the waitress. Avoid if you want a nice relaxing meal with decent service and reasonable prices.

A jack-​of-​all-​trades trying its best to please everyone and how their tastes change as the night progresses. Arch One just recently opened and is filling a weird niche for businessmen and clubbers alike. Were you to go early in the morning for their continental breakfast, you’d see many a suited figure probably fresh off the train at Waterloo enjoying a croissant before work. But if you go in the middle of the night (they’re open 24 hours Thursday-​Saturday), the music would be blaring and mirrorball shining while people dance. But you can get a full English at that time (featuring a fine breakfast sausage) or a champagne breakfast for a very reasonable £9.90. It would be tamer if you went at more conventional hours, but if you’re looking for somewhere to go after 11pm this is a much appreciated, much needed late night spot.

This is a new bar & grill that has recently opened up a stones throw away from Waterloo Train Station. I recenlty stumbled across this place by accident and was pleasently surprised.
The restaurant food and wine was very good with comfortable seating. I went for a lunch time meal and the place was quite but I can imagine it being busy in the evenings with mostly commuters attending. The bar is handy for a drink before setting off on long journey or maybe after a hard journey lol.
I would recommend giving this place a try.

We went here after Ping Pong, the bouncers were very welcoming because the place was deserted (unless everyone was upstairs.) They positioned us near the door, which was open and therefore very draughty. The cocktails were quite expensive, £7, and I had a bloody Mary, which the bartenders had a long discussion about how to make, and which was far too hot and spicy. Too much tabasco. And I saw them putting port in, is that usual? Or am I crazy? They had draught Beck’s 4 for about £3.35 which is cheaper than a certain King’s Cross pub i could mention, but no other draught beer. After we’d been there about half an hour they started showing a Bruce Lee documentary on the big screen, which was strange. There is a glass window at the rear behind the bar through which you can see buses going past. Apparently it stays open all night but I couldn’t stay there later than one. And I didn’t.

We missed the train on Saturday night around 12:20 and went to get a drink there, waiting for the next train shortly after 1:00am.
Waiter took 10 min to make us our cocktails, and 3 min after we sat down, the music was stopped, the lights turned on and closing-​time clanking around began. 5 min later, we were getting kicked out. It was 12:40 on a Saturday night in London.
I would not recommend a visit. Not only did they not tell us they were closing so early on a saturday night, but the drinks were horrible too!
