Apostrophe

I’m a big fan of Apostrophe, the food is great tasty, reasonable sized portions and great value for money. This branch is quite small but still has a good number of seats inside.
The staff are friendly and the service is quick and delivered with a smile. There is nothing not to like about apostrophe.
I particularly like their breakfasts; porridged cooked to perfection nice and creamy with a good amount of topping and the sausage bloomers are served in nicely toasted bread with a good amount of filling.
If you are passing by pop in for a bit or a coffee. The only slight down point is that you have to collect 10 stamps to get a free hot drink.

I stopped in here for a quick cup of coffee and was not disappointed! I had the flat white, which was perfectly made. It has a nice atmosphere and would be a great place to meet up with friends. Was slightly hectic, where as I prefer to relax as I drink my coffee. My table ordered some porridge, a pear and lemon muffin, and a lemon tart to eat, which were all delightful!

Ich meide Ketten normalerweise wie die Pest und gebe mein Geld lieber für das wohltuende Gefühl aus jemanden wirklich geholfen zu haben… (Naja und gutes Essen!)
Zu meiner Verteidigung muss ich sagen das ich echt nicht wusste das es sich bei diesem lokal um eine Kette handelt! Der laden befindet sich mitten auf der bekannten Baker Street, umgeben von unzähligen anderen Delis und Restaurants sticht dieser mit Sauberkeit und freundlichem Personal hervor. Während andere Shops zum Teil etwas hochnäsig sind, wird man hier mit einem lächeln empfangen und bedient. Bestellt wird hier wie beim Starbucks, also vorne bezahlen — hinten holen!
Nun zum Essen, der Geheimtipp hier ist wirklich die Suppe des Tages! Es gibt jeden Tag eine neue fantastische Suppe zum Spar-​Preis (ich glaube es waren 5 Pfund?) und meist sogar mehr als nur eine einzige Sorte! Bei meinem Besuch war es (leider) irgendwas mit Spargel, aber als alternative hatten sie Chilli con Carne auf Reis… Merkwürdige Suppe, aber verdammt lecker! Das Chilli war nicht zu scharf (aber auch nicht zu mild) und eigentlich sehr schmackhaft, nur vom Reis hätten sie ruhig etwas mehr rausrücken dürfen.
Rundum eine wirklich gute Entscheidung, auch wenn es sich hier um eine Kette handelt :)

The only think I go for in here is the hot chocolate. Delicious, thick, throat coating hot chocolate.
Good seating areas here which I imagine is utilised by people having their meetings and catching up on emails.

Damn. All I can say is DAMN. All I wanted was a coffee and a croissant. And that’s what I got. The coffee was good and hot, and the croissant was freshly baked. The croissant was excellent — you know the type — bite into it and have it shatter into pieces; rich and flavorful.
Yeah, I’m a fan. I’m just wondering why I waited so long to have this! I’ll be back for sure!

The hot chocolate here is so thick, you have to eat it with a spoon! — much recommended. If you try to drink it, beware of a hilarious brown moustache above your lip.
Some very inventive gourmet sandwiches — I love the le grec (greek feta cheese, onion marmalade, semi-​dried tomatoes, rocket) and the toasted alsace (reuben’s pastrami, emmental, sauerkraut, mustard) Perfect hazelnut-​chocolate crepes, too.
Great for romantic afternoons — remember to look up from your hot chocolate once in a while!
