Apollo Restaurant Taverna

Apollo Restaurant is by far the best Traditional Greek restaurant! The food is excellent as words can not describe. The service is brilliant, waiters are always respectful and treat you like you’re at home. Apart from the amazing food, the live bouzoukia night every friday and saturday night there is epic! Everyone getting together to have a good time and enjoy the delicious traditional Meze!
I definitely recommend!

Having read excellent reviews about this restaurant, thought we would give it a try. wrong movebooked a table for 6 which was very cramped felt a bit like sitting at a Paste table. Waiter was continually hovering around, only to whip the plates away as soon as we had finished our meal. Requested a Dessert menu, only to be told that they didn’t serve Desserts on a saturday night and were promptly served with a bowl of fruit (which incidentally was just about enough for 4 people) to go with our drinks. Food was ok had better to be honestThen presented with the bill.£300 for 6 people! Food could not have come to more than £25 a head, leaving £150 for drinksok, we had a few but certainly not £150 worth. Bit like eating at a café but paying west end prices!
Update 24.10.2011 Having emailed the owner on two separate occasions, airing my complaint, I have not even had the courtesy of a reply from him!
Update 03.11.2011 Still awaiting a response to my complaint oh well, customer complaints are obviously dealt with as attentively as the service to the tables!

I absolutely love this place. All the evenings I have had here have been seriously epic. I never leave Apollo before 2am, yet I always feel like I am one of the first to leave.
If you are looking for an evening of great Greek food, dancing, drink, and live music, look no further, this is your place. The food here is so good, you MUST come hungry, even better starving because they serve you about 5 courses here. Be sure to pace yourself! It’s easy to fill yourself up on the tasty starters of gorgeous humous, aubergine, and various tasty seafood.
Don’t arrive early here. If you come before 10pm the place will seem dead. The live music on weekends doesn’t start until about 11 and that’s when the real party starts. Be sure to wear your dancing shoes as there is a good sized dance floor!
Apollo is a diamond in the rough of Seven Sisters! Be sure to make a night of it!

A huge array of meze, which is a sort of appetizers, great fish plate, then a steak then finished with fruits and desserts.
We were surprised at the affordability and wonderful athmospere of this place
They are the best in my book.

If Greek’s your thing, then you will love the food at this restaurant. Still 1 of the best nights out with live music and singers (we went on a Saturday night) prices are average and the staff are excellent. The food is so good here that you will wake up the next morning wanting more for breakfast! We had the Meat Meze and didn’t have to wait long at all. Just Perfect, well done and great to still have an authentic greek restaurant! (MrG’s advice book in advance for weekend bookings as this place get’s busy!)

I have given Apollo 5 stars for the food. There are not really great good bozukia places in london that i know of and to be honest i havn’t been out on a greek night for ages so cant comment on that. What i do know is that every Friday and Saturday night they are fully booked and that any takeaway or meal i have there tastes absolutely great. Food is fantastic!!!
