I hate to be the one writing the bad review, but here it is. I’ve been to Amy’s quite a few times and, although the shop itself is quite well stocked, I find the employees usually either indifferent or even sort of rude to customers. I believe it is customary to greet customers when they enter one’s shop, and to this day I have yet to experience any sort of smile or word from the gentleman who is usually at the door. Today was a new level of rudeness, in which I asked for help(I had to ask two different persons) — one told me he was busy with someone else and would come back for me, but just decided not to, the other told me he’d help, then proceeded to the back of the shop and started to fiddle with items, completely ignoring me in the process. It took me a few minutes to realise he wasn’t coming back for me. Needless to say, I left without what I was looking for and bought said item, instead, a few stores up the street, where I was treated to a «hello» upon arriving and a nice«have a great day» as leaving. This was probably my last visit to the place.

I’m always impressed to see businesses like this still kicking about amongst the Starbucks and McDonalds. When I wandered past I just had to pop into Amy’s to check out it’s wares. Just as has been mentioned before, this is a good place for homeware. Nothing too quirky, but nothing too cheap. A little warehouse of bins and knick-knacks for around the house. While there’s nothing spectacular here and its items are competativly priced for the area, it’s got a clean and useful charm you can’t help but like.

Amy’s is a large, very well stocked, house ware shop. I came in looking for a french press and left with 3 other items. They had about 10+ options for french press’ and a plethora of different useful household items– They have a very friendly and helpful staff. I believe they carry some hardware things as well in the back. If you live in the area, this place is the best as far as the selection you will get. Everything is pretty standard as far as pricing goes as well!

I got my spice rack at Amy’s. We needed one and I’m not one to scout around for housewares. It was a bit expensive in here about the girlfriend wanted a spice rack so we paid out. In it’s favour, Amy’s is a nice sized store, well laid out. There is inexpensive glassware on offer and a selection of luggage and dog toys(not large). Basically Amy’s has a fairly big selection of stuff for the home. You can occasionally spot a bargain like ½ price bedding or reduced Pyrex dishes. Not bad.
