On a freezing Monday in Covent Garden today Amys Deli was a great refuge. It feels like a French country kitchen inside, lots of wood and potted plants. We all got hot drinks and I got a really fresh ciabatta with pesto mozzerella and tomato to start then a delicious chocolate fudge cake after. Needless to say I was stuffed! Also because it was an odd time of day, we had the place to ourselves so it had a lovely cosy feeling to it, like we could stay there chatting in this kitchen all day. I can imagine that at busy lunchtimes it would be pretty cramped inside, especially as most of the seating is outside in the covered market but its still very chilly out there. However when we went there there they were cooking a big paella dish outside which smelled gorgeous so would have made the cold more bearable. When it comes to ordering you order at the counter at the back of the café and they bring over your order. I’ll go back next time I’m in the area, it is a fantastic place and the staff were really sweet.
