When my father opened the liquor store back in the 70s the alarm system consisted of silver tape on the windows and a button under the counter. It was still working that way when I took over the business. I called Alcom Security for an estimate and after some Alarm History Museum jokes they gave me a price on a high tech system complete with high definition cameras and 24 hour monitoring. We also upgraded the store and the inventory. My father is slow to accept change but he is getting used to it. I must give credit to NJ alarm company Alcom Security for their great advice.

There were several burglaries in our NJ neighborhood which prompted me to have Alcom Security have a look at our older home security system. The technician explained it was like a dial up internet. Slow and dependent on the land phone lines. If someone simply cut the line there was no alarm. He installed a system that works through the cellular. The alarm will get through to security even if the phone lines are cut and the power is out. I am so glad I called when I did.
