We go to Ahmed’s once a year for my birthday and have done so for the past ten years. It’s become a fantastic tradition that keeps us all in touch and makes sure we stock up on some amazing Indian food! The staff are always friendly and accomodating even when we turn up in a big group without booking! The mango chutney with poppadoms is a great way to start whilst choosing from the extensive menu of food and wines. The Bombay potato is a fantastic side and the menu has a main for all tastes. The cooks are very flexible(with their cooking skills!) and will prepare a dish with as little or as much spice as you wish. I highly recommend Ahmed Tandoori for anyone who loves great tasting Indian food at reasonable prices.

Ahmed Tandoori is the local Wimbledon curry house. It’s the one that you know will be open when you need a quick pick me up to fill that hunger pang. The main hassle is that its position near the station means parking options can be expensive. Which is a shame as it’s a cheap place to dine. I can recommend the meat methi and bhunas here. They also do a Sunday lunchtime buffet. Reliable and no surprises.

Great Indian food with all the usual tasty dishes on the menu. Brilliant Aloo Gobi, lovely mango chutney, good naan breads, delicious chicken korma washed down with a bottle of beer. The staff here are friendly and happy to help. It’s a quality service and it never fails to satisfy. Ahmed’s will not fail to please if you’re in the mood for a good curry and they have plenty of reasonably priced options on the menu.
