Designed to bring a touch of elegance to the heart of Westbourne Grove, 65 & King recalls the heady glamour of American Deco and is conceived as a theatrical and atmospheric drinking and dining parlour. Serving classic and creative cocktails alongside an all-​day food menu until late, 65 & King offers something for all appetites, whether it’s a quick lunch, tempting snack or something to nibble on whilst sampling the cocktails.

Antique imported tin ceilings, vintage glassware and bespoke neon signs combine to create a sophisticated mix of rat pack Las Vegas and Manhattan loft. Towards the end of the week, we raise the tempo, playing the hottest tunes to kick off the weekend in style.

Comprising of three newly refurbished spaces, 65 & King brings you a choice from one of our three private rooms, the «thrills» room for 35 people, the Opera box for 50 or the intimate red room for 10. We have exquisite seasonal menus or our chefs will create a bespoke menu to enhance your event.

History

Established in 2013.

Previously know as Westbourne House and after a 6 year great running we decided to bring a new fresh concept that is today 65 & King. the passion for great drinks is now met by the passion for great food by our new chef. From great burgers and steaks made from great Welsh Black Beef to fresh from the market Scottish lobsters and fish. Come and see us and you be the judge.

Food quality and atmosphere of the restaurant were brilliant! However the service was very poor, which was a shame…
It was a triple-​dates night! So my boyfriend reserved seats for six of us after he found some very good reviews of this restaurant on other websites.
The burger was really tasty and the salads and steaks my friends ordered looked fabulous as well.
However as I’ve already mentioned, the waitresses were unhelpful and the inside of the restaurant was quite noisy with loud music so we had to talk in a loud voice.
I hope they improve the customer service so that I can enjoy their burger from bottom of my heart next time!

A really nice place to stop for drinks.
Not as loud as a pub. Small but still large enough to move around and not overhear people at your next table or have them listening in on yours. You don’t need to shout to have a conversation.
This evening we had some interesting instrumental jazz music playing. Which just added to the atmosphere and vibe of the place.
They do serve food too, but we had dinner reservations elsewhere, so we didn’t even try the snacks.

Went for Sunday brunch. Eggs benny were delish, and my kids said the same about their pancakes and French Toast. Bloodies were tasty, and the fried pickles (‘frickles’) were a nice addition. Service on the slow side but, hey, it’s Sunday. I’ll be back for cocktails and dinner.

Although the food was good, the waitstaff was incredibly rude. I have never been treated the way I was in a restaurant in the past. We sat down with 15 min left to order from the kitchen. While we were rushed, we were excited to get our late order in on time. Half way through our meal, we were told it was last call for drinks — I got 1 more glass of wine. We ate our food in peace, until the waitress came up and took our almost finished food away saying they ‘closed 30 min ago’. She returned shortly after to say we had to leave and would take our drinks away. When we told her that this was not proper and the bar was full, she responded by saying that we weren’t to worry about those people, they were friends and family, and the bar was closed (music still blasting at this point). We proceeded to finish our drinks slowly as we wished, and let the rest of the staff know what we thought of the service. They mocked us as we walked out. While a cute restaurant with good food, the staff needs to loose the attitude.

I have never had worse service anywhere in my life. Our waitress was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She came over to our table shortly after having given us the chance to order our last drink and told us to leave. When we pointed out that the bar was still full, we were told «Don’t worry about them, they are our friends and they can stay as long as they like.» Atrocious customer service and I will never return.

We had book the private area up one level at the back of the bar and restaurant for a birthday party. The snack food to share was wonderfully tasty and delicious, and very fresh. We had salt and pepper baby squid with chilli sauce, quesadilla’s with fresh guacamole, chicken wings, lightly fried padron peppers and zucchini fries with tarragon mayo. We were able to decorate with banners and balloons beforehand, and the whole place was lovely with a really nice ambiance.

I’ve finally had the opportunity to eat here for dinner, and boy oh boy the quality of the food here changed my original star rating from 3 stars to 4 stars.
If you arrive before 8pm they have a fantastic offer on steak and chips for only £10!!! I normally order the super green salad with grilled salmon for my main — it is very tasty, filling and healthy.
I think that the patrons that go here think of this place as just a bar and not a restaurant. As a result, it is shy from receiving the credit it deserves for its great tasting food.
The meals I’ve had here are so tasty that I was willing to put the desperately want-​to-​be chic vibe aside and am now a regular.
Request to sit in the main dining room for dinner. I strongly advise against sitting in the «Champagne Lounge».
They are open for brunch on the weekends too. I haven’t tried their brunch but am hoping it is as good as their dinner offerings.

Nice little bar. Take from it what you want. Either have a boozy night or a quick drink. It can feel a little faux cool and the crowd can be a little confusing. Good cocktails, if not a little expensive. Staff are erratic but generally good fun. Food is okay for an expensive snack. Never felt the urge to try the lobster. Beware, sometimes you get stag does in here and that makes it weird.

Came here for drinks before going to dinner nearby. I couldn’t wait at work any longer, so I kind of came here by myself for awhile until Robyn J. made it to join me for the last 20 minutes or so.
I sat at the bar and had cocktails. The first I had was on their happy hour menu. There are three drinks on this menu and from 5:00 — 8:00 pm you pay the time you order the drink for your drink. So if you’re there at 5:00 your drink is only £5! It’s kind of a fun deal. The rhubarb drink I had was really pleasant.
My favorite drink was the King Mule which is like a Moscow Mule (but spicy). It was super delicious and I really enjoyed it. My last drink was a bloody mary. And while the bartender worked extra hard to make it for me (as they have one that’s premixed, but he made me one from scratch), it wasn’t my favorite bloody Mary. Once I added Tabasco it helped, but it needed more spice. It was far from the worst bloody Mary, but also not the best.
Robyn’s drink was really tasty as well. I can’t say anything about the food, but if you want a fun and cool place to get interesting cocktails in the area, this is the place to go. The bartenders were super friendly and really wanted to make sure my drinks were great. Bravo!

We had been there for drinks after the Easter feast. That’s why this review is entirely for the drinking part of the pub.
The atmosphere was amazing and the pricing for the beers were very low. The four stars are because there were not providing snack or crisps with the drinks, not even an almond!
