Modern life means there’s rarely time in your day to take your bike to your local shop to get it serviced or fixed so we operate a FREE collect and return workshop and mobile repairs service to keep you and your bike safely on the road.

We’re geared to meet all your cycling needs and can pick up your bike from your home or place of work whichever suits you best and drop it off once your cycle repairs and servicing have been carried out.

History

Established in 2013.

Peter Hills, the founder of Vale Cycle Servicing (VCS), has been riding all his life.

Mainly commuting to work but more recently mountain biking on the fabulous trails around the Vale of Glamorgan along with regular ride outs with the MOD St Athan CC and the odd charity ride like the South Wales Echo On Your Bike for Barnado’s.

Aware of the increasing use of cycles in and around the Vale for commuting and leisure Peter saw the opportunity to offer a flexible cycle maintenance service for fellow local cyclists.

Mobile and Workshop Services

The idea to make it a combination of a mobile and workshop-​based service came to mind after Peter noticed how far people in rural areas like the Vale frequently have to travel in order to get their bicycles repaired and serviced.

The majority of people don’t have the time to take their cycle to their local bike shop during office hours or at weekends so that’s why VCS combines traditional bike shop repair services with mobile bike repair and serv

Peter’s professional background in aerospace engineering and City & Guilds qualification in Cycle Training combined with his love of cycling in general means VCS offers cost-​effective and convenient services backed up by high levels of technical expertise and biking experience.
