Always has everything I need for my student accomodation and at really cheap prices too! They also have offers throughout the year that are beneficial for students, such a clothes racks! I bought one of these on offer when my old one broke after two years of use.

l absolutely hate this branch. The place itself is clastrophobic as there are no outer windows only those looking onto the worst part of St. John’s. lt’s commonplace to see long queues as the cashiers obviously don’t know the meaning of urgency or rushing, whereas there are other members of staff about who prefer to ignore the fact that there are long queues. Where on earth is the manager whose job it is to manage? l’ve now lost track of the times that l’ve walked out of there without my shopping, and l’d much prefer to go into the Birkenhead branch which is much nicer and with friendly staff who seem happy to serve customers rather than taking joy in delaying them.

Wilko’s is just one of those shops that has everything. It might not be quite as cheap as the nearby poundland and 99p store, but it feels like everything is just a bit better quality here. They have a huge range of items including baby supplies, pet supplies, luggage, baking supplies, paint, cosmetics, toiletries, food and homewares. The store itself is large, well organised and that staff work hard to keep it clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and are more than happy to help if you need it. Basically, if there’s something you need, and you’re not too sure where to buy it in the city centre, go to Wilkinson’s.

I have to agree with Rebecca C on this one, Wilkinsons is an amazing shop. It’s an absolute gem for everything that you need for your house. This is a fairly big store and sells a range of items from bath and shower gels and shampoos to bedding and cushions and children’s toys. They also sell food a lot cheaper than most supermarkets and even have a £2 lunchtime meal deal. They undercut the high street stores my at least 1⁄3rd on all of their stock, and the service in store is excellent. They get seasonal stock in so it’s a great place to stock up for Easter, Halloween, Christmas etc. They have a pick and mix section for all of those who were at a loss like I was when Woolworths closed it’s doors and all its pick and mixes last year. Get this. You weigh your own sweets at Wilko’s pick and mix! Check it out, for anything you can’t find cheap in Wilko’s, there’s a huge Poundland next door!

In my opinion, it doesn’t get much better than Wilko’s! This is your one stop shop for everything you could possibly need, from toilettries to pet food, garden furniture to bicycle wheels and all that’s in between. I love it. They stock mostly known brands, but it’s a lot cheaper. Example: body brush from Boots £8 in Wilko’s for around £1. Exactly the same thing but without the branding. Which is a nuisance because I bought the one from Boots. It’s always the place I go to if I’m stuck. I needed silver spray paint a few Christmases ago to snazz up some decorations. Got it at Wilko’s. I needed some silver craft glitter spray for a flower arrangement. Got glitter hairspray, which had the same effect, for 79p I think. Which was good compared to the £7 a can at Rennie’s. Need cheap catfood to feed the stray cat that’s always round our back door — Wilko’s is the place. I think I’ve made my point.
