Tortilla on Lord Street in Liverpool– UK «Real California Burritos and Tacos» humm… As a woman born and raised in Los Angeles California, the creators need to research Californian food FYI Burritos and Tacos come from a completely different country called Mexico! which happens to be FURTHERSOUTH and not in the USA! They have no flavor as we found out and No REFRIEDBEANS… Yes you heard it here first. mexican food sorry Californian identity crisis food with no re fried BEANS… We also had a margarita that came out of an ice making machine, well actually thats unfair, it was a SHOT of margarita. And only one flavor. Authentic californian food Nope. No Flavor, No Charisma, and not very good customer service. We ordered two of the same, one came with guacamole(which was the only flavor in the meal) and one was nearly half the size(but the same price). If you want authentic Californian food. Go to California and not here. #noflavor #liverpool

Was looking for a quick bite to eat so popped in to Tortilla after seeing it on my way to my hotel. In a good, central location so very handy for the majority of the city’s attractions. Has a «Subway» style process where you pick what you want as you move along the counter. First employee was super friendly and explained everything to me but then passed me on to someone else who got my order wrong twice — though was very apologetic. I had the tacos with carnitas pork and chicken, topped with cheese, sour cream and pico de gallo. Was hoping for something a bit more flavourful but for a fiver it wasn’t bad! Wouldn’t necessarily go back, but was an alright stop for a quick bite.

As an American(via California), I love both Mexican and Tex-Mex. This place is basically Chipotle as conceived by the Brits. The procedure is the same, the offerings are about the same, and the taste is good, but not quite as good as Chipotle(or Barbacoa if you’re from Utah). For the UK, it’s probably one of the best(in terms of quality, taste and price) you’ll find for tex-mex.
