The Mission Café is a mini eatery in Mount Pleasant that is run by a Christian group with proceeds and donations going towards the homeless. In addition, this café kindly serves free breakfast for those in need Monday to Friday 7am-8.30am. They offer a hearty variety of English food which is ideal for breakfast and brunch such as sandwiches, toasties and jacket potatoes. There are also a small range of simple desserts like banana split and apple pie with ice cream or custard. As my first time here, I ordered a traditional full English breakfast which always usually goes down well for me and this was no exception at The Mission Café. In fact, it was one of the more decent breakfasts I have had in town because there weren’t any burnt bits and it wasn’t too greasy either. Plus, with a choice of drink included for £3.20 in total, you’ll struggle to find anything similar in town which is cheaper. The staff here are welcoming, attentive and put a smile on your face which I found very charming indeed. Whether or not you’re feeling hungry, you can always find something small or more substantial to eat here at value for money prices.
