Great food menu, great drinks menu and great staff! It is in a good location for students and is relatively cheap so, as expected, the place was crowded with students! They offer unique and different drinks including a wide range of cocktails, milkshakes, pop. and more. I enjoyed a small yet yummy white chocolate milkshake :) Food is cheap, standard but delicious, we didn’t need to wait too long to be served or be given our food. The atmosphere is good, it’s an ideal place to just chill with drinks and friends. I’d recommend going– if you can find it :)

What a great bar! Smack in the middle of Liverpool’s university area had a good mix of students and young professionals in when we ate. Food all seemed freshly prepared, great selection of light bites, burgers salads and breakfasts. Lots of computer consoles on big screens including 4 player Goldeneye and MarioKart Friendly bar staff and the place seemed clean and tidy

This is nice pub targeted at sudents. The crowd is young as are the servers. Th spot seemed to promote Premier League Footbal quite a bit, so I’m assuming this is a fair spot to catch a match. The drinks are reasonably priced, and Font offers several cask ales from the Liverpool Organic Brewery. However, I was extremely dissatsified with the food. Nothing was marked as a specialty on the menu, so I ordered an item from the largest section on the menu: a cheeseburger. Unfortunately, it was the worst burger that I’ve had. It was served well done and topped off with a chees and a auce that were unappetizing. The chips were cut extremely thick; they were better of serving a baked potato. The highlight of the meal was the simple salad which came with the burgers and chips.

Student bar so prices r very reasonable. Beers just standard but good place 2 visit before a gig @ the uni as it’s literally yards away. I particularly enjoyed my visits due 2 the tunes on offer. Ranging from modern indie 2 cheesy rock. AC/DC always goes down well with a pint of amber nectar.

The rowdy atmosphere, loud music and pools of beer over the furniture make the Font look like the bar of a youth hostel that’s too popular for its own good; except instead of lively foreign folk with zany travelling anecdotes you have irritating students hitting you with their elbows and bellowing at each other. Every time I’ve been here I’ve found it filled with what I presume are first-years, based on how much their eyes rolled around in their skulls and how unnecessarily noisy they were. Maybe I’m just envious, maybe they acted like that to chase me away, whatever the reason is I doubt this’ll be be my local.

The Font is a good and simple student pub, there is live sport good food and cheap drinks what more could you ask for. Whats more the offers are great and there is more than enough to hold the attention of lazy minded students, there is a three hour ‘happy hour’ between 5−8pm everyday which is a fantastic proposition if you’ve just finished a long day of tedious study and you fancy starting the fun early. The chance to win a crate of beer in Thursdays quiz is also good fun even if I have always performed poorly as is the norm. I prefer The Font to most pubs in and around the campus because as well as its fun feel and great offers it has a younger ambience due to the décor and atmosphere. If your a young student in Liverpool and you don’t already know about The Font then go and find out what the fuss is about.

The Font is a great bar on the outskirts of the city centre. It’s normally populated by students and has a great food menu and selection of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails. They also offer a range on non-alcoholic cocktails which are delicious. The food portions are excellent, they have a great quiz night and they have a happy hour on bottles of Tiger beer between 5pm and 8pm throughout the week. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic and chatty, there is never a long wait for food and they have a wide range of crisps and snacks to go with your beer. If you order a coffee, they have a nice touch of giving you a Cadburys Freddo bar instead of a biscuit, which we always thought was quirky! They used to have a PS3 available for students to play footy games in the daytimes while they enjoyed their lunch, I’m not sure if this is still here but it was great fun.

Located slap bang in the centre of the the University campus, The Font is a massive hit with students mainly for the cheap cocktails. At only two quid a pop it’s a must for in between lectures as a well earned break from all that hard(ish) work you’ve been doing! It’s been recently refurbished and to be honest I’m not a fan of the new look, it’s really dark in there but really, who needs to see when the drinks are so cheap! The wraps are pretty good as a snack at lunch, especially the aromatic duck, but the food isn’t really the best, especially not the Sunday Roast which was mediocre at best and really quite expensive for what it was. It’s definitely not a place I would go on a night, mainly getting busy in the afternoons, but sports are always on and they have a games console set up if you’re feeling competitive! If what you’re looking for is a cheeky drink and an energetic studenty atmosphere this is the place to go.

The Font is a local uni haunt that is mostly populated by students. Well known for it’s hearty food and decent drinks prices, it is a cool place to hang out and chillax away from the stresses and strains of university life(yeah right!) It’s not somewhere I’ve ever intentionally gone to in the night, as I find it more of an afternoon kinda place, but I believe it is also popular in the evenings. They show the football and most other sporting events on a few TVs dotted around the place, plus I’m pretty sure they now have a projector screen as well. There’s also a games area with the obligatory pool and computer games. Food is served until 7.30pm and if you’re having a bit of a get together you can even book tables in advance. This is therefore a good place for those all-important uni meetings when you’re in a society and need to sort out complicated stuff like where to go on your next social… The staff are cool and there are various places to sit where you can either pass out with a hangover or eagerly await your burger and chips. A must for all students.

the font is a typical student bar. located in the middle of the student residential area, it has been designed with the student in mind. it plays sky tv in the bar, has a couple of pool tables, and a couple of playstation 2’s to provide entertainment. the drinks are quite cheap, and it offers a variety of cocktail type drinks and flavoured shooters. all of which proves very popular with students. however, once the students have gone home for either the summer or christmas, the place gets very quiet. this has, i suppose, to do with the fact that not only is it student orientated, but it is quite a distance out of the city centre and is tucked away back from the main road. unless you lived or worked in the area, it is doubtful you would know abou this bars existence.

I LOVE the Font! All cocktails are £2 all day every day and they are such good cocktails. If you order a cocktail in Wetherspoons you’ll probably get a poor imitation of the real thing but they make them properly here. They use all the right ingredients and good quality ones at that. Such a good range– all the usual, popular ones like Cosmopolitan and Mojito plus a few more imaginative ones. The food is also really good and well prices. I had the potato skins with cheese and bacon. They were only £3 and absolutely fantastic. I’m told that nachos and jacket potatos are also good. I really like the décor and atmosphere as well– studenty but very laid back and not grotty at all.

A typical student pub/bar. It caters for most doing cheap promotion nights as well as some pretty decent grub to boot. Ideally located in the student area it is very popular.

The Font is one of those bars which you like from the moment you enter through those front doors. The décor may be naff, but it’s well located by the university, it serves cheap beer and food and shows the latest football matches. A winning combination by any student’s standards. However, in my time in Liverpool, the Font’s main pulling power centered around the fact that it had a playstation 2, a massive projector screen and a copy of Pro Evolution Soccer. This is quite a mix when you take all the young make students into account and needless to say the pub was VERYPOPULAR. The Font won’t change your life and is a bit naff, but it’s a great place for a chilled out daytime drink. However, after about 8pm, it gets really busy and the place loses some of its attraction when you’re fighting to get to the bar!
