The worst service ever ! The woman walks off while your trying to order or shouts at the kitchen staff while your trying to talk to her. Waiting times are really long. My starter once came 10 minutes after my main meal. When you eventually get your order it is wrong. A shame really because the food can be quite nice.

Ahh the TeaGather(Sorry, is this a really bad pun on Together? Or is it about Gathering Tea?)… When I haunted the Uni premises around exams I spent the majority of my money eating out in the TeaGather and Kimos café. Both are great, but TeaGather, although small, really packs a punch as far as the food is concerned. What a life saver. I can’t recommend the breakfasts enough… Everything comes in twos(hurrah!) for £4. And they do a really good BLT. There’s lots of snacky food available for those in a rush but also big portioned chinese menu on offer. It’s a plastic chaired affair so not the best if you want to stay all night, but I like the rough-readiness about it. Studenty and satisfying. Good if there’s a group of you wanting to get teagather… Geddit? Nope. It just doesn’t work.

I’ve only been here once for lunch, but my friends rave about it, and all those who work nearby tend to congregate once a week for lunch. Tea Gather isn’t particularly big, and the concept is simple — choose what you want, go and order it and get your drinks, pick up your cutlery on your way back to the table, and sit and do a crossword while you wait. At least, that’s what we did. Being on a strict diet at the time, I opted for the Won Ton soup, which when it came, was too hot to eat for about 5 minutes, but then was absolutely gorgeous. Several friends got a full breakfast, a large full breakfast or a veggie breakfast, and when they came I regretted my diet. Service is swift and they leave you alone once the food is on the table, which is always nice. Prices are cheap and quality is good, so this is definitely somewhere I’d come to again, even if it is a bit out of the way and I am no longer a student. Perfect for people who ARE still students as it is practically on top of uni campus.
