I definitely have mixed fillings about Solar Sun! The salon is situated in a handy place near Liverpool’s city centre, and offers a wealth of beauty treatments as well as sunbeds. With offers on manicures, pedicures and hair styling this a great place to visit when you need a treat. I applaud the idea of spray tans(as long as you aren’t going for the oompa shade) but sunbeds just make me feel sick. Having seen the effects of skin cancer I can tell you that getting a tan just isn’t worth that kind of vanity. The salon is very clean, and well-presented, and the staff are lovely. I’ll definitely be heading here again for a manicure in the future!

Well yes, here it is. yet another tanning studio in Liverpool city centre! The scary thing is, for all tourists taking a left out of Lime Street, this is one of the first things that they will see! A load of full sized oompa loompas parading from its very doors! But still, if you’re after a manicure, pedicure, full on pamper day or just a few minutes under a sun shower, this is the place for you to find all the UV delights! Given that this place has huge glass windows showing off the interior and the beauty sessions within, it is very clean and well presented. The staff all look happy and I dare say some of them look very ‘tanned’. I’m sure there are cheaper alternatives the closer to the outskirts of the city you get, but it’s in a good location for that quick spray tan when you feel too pale to get the train!

They also offer special pamper days which includes a generous combination of treatments starting from £38.50 and going up to £60.50. The centre appears well maintained and staff are warm and welcoming. If you’re not looking for a pamper yourself, they do have luxury gift vouchers available which may be the ideal gift for someone special. It is a little expensive but there is a very professional approach to their services.
