Although SmithdownTattoo was established in 2012 the owner Barry Hogarth has been a professional tattooer SINCE 1994. Barry was apprenticed in London and worked in studios in and around London for 5 years before opening Happy Sailor, Hackney rd Shoreditch, he ran this shop succesfully for over 10 years before moving back to Liverpool. Smithdown Tattoo is a fully licensed no nonsense, attitude free street shop. Offering the highest quality tattooing that over 19 years shop experience can provide. Business Owner

Barry was apprenticed in London in 1994, after working in studios in and around London for 5 years he opened Happy Sailor, Hackney road, Shoreditch. This shop was succesfully run for over 10 years and is still going strong under new onwership. Then moving to Penzance, Cornwall Barry again ran another succesful studio In The Skin Tattoo, PZ. In 2010 Barry moved back in his home town of Liverpool and is now the Owner and Only tattooer at SmithdownTattoo, wavertree.
