Considering Size? specialises in ‘trainees’ in a city like Liverpool were our devotion to sports footwear and our legacy towards it evolution in this country is defended only as vehemently as The Beatles contribution to man’s ascendancy from the ape or something, I’m yet to be impressed with Size?‘s range. I would say that they have their finger on the pulse and have a good selection of the latest trend which at the moment means a lot of brightly coloured Nike Hi Tops. This also includes getting hold of limited edition stock but being limited you need to act fast! Downstairs however they have an excellent section devoted to Addidas with a huge selection of clothes as well as some trainers.

Size?(appropriately named with the question mark) is a sportswear shop along Bold Street that sells a range of trendy fashion, mostly targeted at the young and athletic type. It is one of those shops that you can’t miss in Bold Street due to its bold orange sign on a black background. Across their variety of products, they have plenty of branded footwear, track suits and t-shirts so you aren’t far off from your new jogging gear. The shop almost reminds me like a small version of JD Sports, therefore you can expect something along similar lines. The prices in general are moderate due to all the high street fashion brands, such as Adidas(most noticeably). However, this shop is always worth a good browse, as you’ll find competitive prices compared to the bigger sports shops.

Size?(the question mark is crucial, obviously) is a shoe store quite different from others in Liverpool, such as Schuh and Foot Asylum, in that it veers away from the idea of trainers and shoes as items of necessity and moves towards the idea of footwear as collector’s items. Filled with colourful limited edition versions of the usual suspects — Nike, Adidas, Puma, Vans — Size? appeals to the trainer fanatic rather than the casual wearer looking for a cheap pair of Reebok Classics. This is reflected in its prices(a pair of Nike hi-tops set me back 70 quid, more of an investment than a purchase) but if you are not fazed by this then I would recommend checking out this store on Bold Street.

If you have to have the latest Adidas or Vans then Size? Is the shop for you. Its wide range of shoes fill the store to the brim and it is always a busy shop as its shoes are so popular. There are mainly skate and casual shoes on offer but they also offer a few smarter going out shoes but this is not there main product on offer. Size? also has a big range of clothing mainly selling punk and skate t-shirts but also belts, shoes and jackets. Whilst Size? isn’t the cheapest shoe shop I have even been too, it does have a huge range of styles and sizes to suit every need and the helpful staff are eager to offer assistance. You probably could buy these cheaper online, however funding the identical shoe is nigh on impossible sometimes and there is no substitute for trying the shoe on in the shop!

Size? has been supplying the good folk of Liverpool with box-fresh Adidas Originals, Puma Classics, Nike Dunks and Addict & Freshjive tees since it opened ten years ago. To celebrate their anniversary this year, the distinctive sportswear shop are releasing a series of 6 incredibly cool collaborations with some of the biggest names in training shoes. Each collaboration is limited to 300 pairs of trainers worldwide and 500 tracksuit tops — making them something of a collectors item and must for fanatics. Incase you missed them, there were queues around the block for the Adidas Manchester(blue with orange stripes), Adidas London(red with black stripes and gold lettering) and Nike Air Lunar Mariah(multi-coloured and limited to just 240 pairs). Ask nicely next time you drop in however, and the friendly staff might let you know what dates the forthcoming Adidas Originals Dublin and Nike Lightweight Runners are set to hit the shelves. If they won’t, check out the limited edition Kid Robot and Bloc 28 clothes before they disappear too!

Size? is the home of statement funky footwear. If you want something loud and bright on your feet, this is the place to go. Mainly dealing in trainer-style shoes, this is where you’re likely to find THOSE shoes from THAT Adidas advert. If you believe fashion starts with your feet, this is where to go.
