Sandringham Medical Centre is situated at the top of Aigburth Road. It has its own spacious car park and the building is very smart. It has recently undergone extensive refurbishment which means it is even smarter than it was before. The reception is clean, tidy, bright and airy. There are plenty of chairs here which are all brand new and actually quite comfy. There is also a toilet available for people waiting. The reception desk is stylish and modern and is fitted with a loop system for those with hearing aids. The staff are smartly dressed and are very friendly. If you are a regular visitor like myself, then they will often remember your name before you tell them it, which is a nice personal touch. They are very helpful and make you feel very comfortable. The consulting rooms have not been refurbished during the recent work, but they are still very good. They are clean, tidy and well organised. They seem to have all the equipment you might need during a consultation with the GP or nurse. The computer systems are up to date and the staff have obviously been well trained in their use. Like with any surgery the doctors vary. Some of the older doctors are a bit more stern and serious during your consultation, but others are wonderful and are a credit to the practise. Even with the doctors I haven’t warmed to I have always felt like I have received the best care at Sandringham Medical Centre.
