I have been to the royle court for a show as well as the comedy club.
The venue lends itself well to both larger events as well as smaller intamate nights such as the comedy club.
Prices for shows are very reasonable and can be booked in advance. Popular shows get booked up very quickly so be quick.

I’ve only been here for Rawhide comedy downstairs, so can’t comment on the main venue. But the downstairs bar that the comedy takes place in is a nice little venue. It’s rather cosy if a bit disorganised as far as seating plan goes. The staff were very helpful, and the drinks were reasonable. The comedy, on the other hand, was atrocious. It was an open mic night so it’s to be expected that the wannabes would be awful, but the emcee and the established acts were no better.
I look forward to going to the venue for a better night of chuckles and trying the food.

Recently went to see Slappers and Slapheads and I had a great night. The atmosphere was terrific.
The venue itself needs a bit of TLC and it’s a shame the Capital of Culture funds thought it more important to build a shopping centre (yawn) and not throw money at a theatre that provides local plays which from my experience everybody can enjoy.
A great night out. A great laugh. I would definitely go again.

This is a lovely, cosy little theatre in Liverpool which I’ve been to a few times. Recently saw Brick up the Tunnel– and for meal and ticket was £30, a bargain. The food is top quality down to earth local produce– scouse, etc. A fabulous night out. Definitely worth a visit. For many month of the year has a comedy club on– a great laugh.
