I love a bit of 80s music (think power ballads and a bit of Cindy Lauper thrown in!) I went to the Reflex in Bristol quite a few times and so I was glad to see they had a branch in Liverpool as well. I love the feeling of this place– it’s so friendly and happy and everyone generally seems like they’re are having a cracking time! There is certainly no pretentiousness on display as 80s music isn’t exactly trendy (although I think it should be). Great dance floors to strut your stuff on after a few drinks.

Reflex was great when it was in the old venue on Wood Street, but its just got even better since it moved into the old Edward premises on the corner of Concert Square. The downstairs is massive with big ceilings so not too stuffy and plays great music. There are a large set of stairs that have a nice regal feel to them, and another huge room on the 2nd floor with great music and lots of space to dance. At the back there are some comfy couches and a small balconette where you can sit also. They have filled the balcony style in and the whole upper floor is now a dance floor so much more room. Music is great!
