I really like the sign on the front of Pick of the Crop greengrocers. It looks like something that was hand-painted by a class of 70s schoolchildren as a collective project, or something you’d see on Antiques Roadshow(not that I ever watch that, honest). Once inside, the interior has a similarly dated but quirky feel as Pick of the Crop offers its customers a range of delicious fresh and juicy fruit and veg all at ridiculously cheap prices. The shop is self-service which is a bit unusual, but it all adds to the charm of this lovely little independently run business and feels a lot more friendly and welcoming than the cold produce aisles of any local supermarket would do. I’m not much of a fruit and veg fan but visiting here is a great place to try out new ones as they’re all of the highest quality, meaning I’d definitely recommend Pick of the Crop as a place to go for your grocery needs.

The Pick of The Crop is a delightfully eighties looking self-service greengrocers. With a range of fruit, vegetables and pretty bouquets outside, who could resist walking in? Prices are extremely cheap in here, with a punnet of cherries costing a mere two pounds, in comparison to Tesco’s extortionate charges for fruit, this is a very alluring offer indeed! Quality does not dwindle, all groceries in here are perfectly ripe and in great condition. Service was very efficient and I’ve practically become a regular recently so I always feel welcome when I walk in. I’m a little worried I may turn into a cherry from eating too many, but, never mind hey?
