History

Established in 2002.

For over ten years we have specialised in printed music and become a important resource for Merseyside musicians. Lawrence, the owner, was head of music in a high school for 21 years and has an extensive knowledge. All our staff are active musicians who are able to help you with your requirements.

This is an independently run music shop and has quite a good stock of song books and music sheets.
Don’t come here looking for a massive range of instruments as they only stock a few smaller items,
but if your looking for the music you need to learn that new song its worth a look.
The staff are really helpful too, and are quite happy to trawl the shelves with you looking for what you need,
their online store is worth a look too, but obviously going into the store is always better so if you can’t find what your after they were quite happy to order it in for you.

As you would expect from a city that boasts about its musical heritage and contribution to pop culture as much as Liverpool, there a few independent music shops that can be found around the city centre.
Music Notes is one of the smaller music stores that I have come across and placed in an odd area of town, in my opinion, to find it. Being small seems to encourage this place to stock mainly small musical instruments. I’m not entirely sure if they offer more online but you wont find any pianos or drum kits although there are plenty of half size guitars, eukeles, bongos and harmonicas. However they do stock a wide range of sheet music and song books.
Good for those looking to take up a new hobby or dwarves in folk bands.

A nice and friendly music shop on North John Street. Very helpful staff which meant I didn’t have to hunt through all the books in their well stocked music shop.
The shop has been open for over eight years and really know what they are doing. The stock includes music for all abilities and tastes from the beginner to the professional musician.
If you want to find the right music to learn to sing or play your chosen instrument be it piano, guitar, saxophone, drums, trumpet, violin, recorder, penny whistle, banjo etc. then you have come to the right place.
There is a noticeboard in the entrance of the shop where you advertise concerts and gigs.

Wow!!! This shop is pure unadulterated heaven for anyone who loves music and instruments.
Miriades of sheet music. Instruments of every type from an accordion to a zither the choice is endless and the assistance in your choice unsurpassable.
This excellent store opened in 2002 and goes from strength to strength because of the dedication of the staff who are so helpful.
There are facilities to advertise your teaching services, to exchange or sell tickets etc and of course space is given to alert custmersof upcoming gigs.
There is little that the staff wont do to help the music lover and is a real help in this age of huge emporiums.
I totally reccommend it and wish it best wishes for the future.
