So I’ve been a customer for two things prior to this incident, and they remembered me coming in and whatnot. My iPhone screen shattered after I dropped it pretty hard on the pavement, so I went to get it fixed at £75– I’d done research and found places that did it for cheaper, but Mobile Phone Clinic were closest and had always been polite to me so I chose them. They fixed it for me and sent me on my way. Fast forward a week, the home button is making a clicking sound when I press it, so I was beginning to worry, but what do I know about phones? I set my phone on my desk and a few small cracks appear. It wasn’t dropped, it wasn’t really anything that would happen with an Apple screen, so I was quite upset that after a short time and being careful with my phone, I was virtually back in the same spot. I went back and explained the situation in detail. I still had my receipt(as it had only been a few days), which said«re-repairs with receipt only.» The guy at the desk told me they weren’t making enough profit off these kinds of repairs to help me. I’m the child of a small business owner, and I’m more than aware of the difficulties and problems most of the public have a blind eye to, and his answer infuriated me. It shouldn’t matter your situation, if a customer presents a problem, it should be fixed. These kinds of situations need to be built into the cost of everything the business does. «Not making enough money» is not an excuse to not assist a customer. Overall, I’m quite upset with how the situation went. A cheaper re-repair wasn’t even offered. As the phone still needs to be fixed, I’ll be taking it elsewhere.

The Mobile Phone clinic on Leece Street is one of those places where phones can be unlocked and various accessories and whatnot are sold. These places always feel a bit tacky and here is no different at all as the outside looks cheap and a little untrustworthy. Inside the value is good but you wonder about the morality of unlocking phones for such cheap prices especially as where they have come from can be very questionable. The staff are a bit rude here and seem to want to be somewhere else, now I know no one enjoys work but the least they could do is feign some interest in the customers needs. On the whole a cheap and tacky place with below par staff and not somewhere I would suggest to the good people of Liverpool

This is a small shop with a limited range of second hand mobile phones and new non original phone accessories such as cases/covers, chargers, bluetooth headsets, headphones and memory cards. The say they offer an unlocking service on all phones but I have yet to put that claim to the test with my old LG phone from three. My advice is to get a cheaper SIM only plan and buy your own mobile direct from somewhere like
If you have an old phone to sell speak to Mr Khalid who seems to be the most knowledgeable. Not all staff were immediately helpful thus low review score.

Another one of these ‘phone doctor’ places which you wonder about — is it all just a front for dealing in stolen phones or am I just a paranoid scouser? The Clinic can unlock and unblock your phones, replace lost chargers, update the software and generally restyle your phone. Or that phone you found in that club last night and didn’t want to hand in cos it’s better than yours… sorry, paranoia coming in again. Although I take the mickey, these places are godsends if your beloved phone IS poorly, and they can generally diagnose and cure on the spot or within the day. I refuse to leave my phone overnight though because, well, I’m not stupid…
