Maplin is the specialist store for all things electronics. If you are looking for anything in particular, you will more than likely be able to find it here. Maplin also has a seasonal catalogue which they sell for £4 or you can search for items online. Staff are usually happy to help with whatever you need and there is always somebody available to assist you. The great advantage about Maplin is that they sell the smallest of electrical components at cheap prices but other products such as computer hardware are a lot more expensive and it is unlikely that you will find a bargain. I once bought a motherboard for my PC and found it was faulty; I had to take it back for a refund but before that, they had to send it off for testing which was a long awaited process and resulted in a refund which took nearly a month. Due to this rigmarole, I was disappointed with their service and did not want to re-experience the hassle of risking another possible faulty motherboard. This made me lose a little trust in Maplin and I would be cautious if I had to shop there again.
