Need an early dinner? Two courses, costing £9.95 but it has to taste good? You don’t want to be right in the city centre? Well, one of the restaurants that you might what to try is La Bussola Restaurant. As part of the early dinner menu they have 7 fairly adventurous starters, 6 main courses and 5 desserts to choose from. Not only do you get ace food but the atmosphere and setting is pretty good as well. Set on a corner the restaurant is open and light.

I went here for my 15th birthday and was in the loos with my friend when we heard a familiar voice — our Geography teacher had just walked in and was enquiring in a loud voice how much corkage was as he had a crate of alcohol in the boot of his car.
That was my first vivid memory of the place. Since then I’ve been back a few times, and even organised my dad’s 60th birthday party in the upstairs function room. La Bussola is small and intimate, and furnished with dark woods. It is also, so I believe, owned by Eunice Huthart, who won Gladiators many moons ago (and is now a stunt double for Angelina Jolie!)
The food is delicious and reasonably priced — as with most places on Allerton Road there is some sort of meal deal available most nights. The ambiance makes it an ideal place for couples or a cosy evening meal.

I love this little italian. The food is amazing. I have been many times and will no doubt visit again soon. Tasty food lovely atmosphere and local to me. I couldn’t ask for any more!

Has a very warm feel to restaurant and feels extremely cosy and almost like your at home. They have a fire place that is a huge attraction and you can be seated both upstairs and downstairs. reasonably priced and staff nice. located on allerton road so you have other bars to have a drink after. easy parking. really nice night
